I have always enjoyed keeping my hands busy while constructing transmitters and accessories.  I will show some of those for your approval and critique.
This is where my creations (using the term VERY loosley) take place.

The work bench

A Modulator I built a few years ago. I love this design.

The modulator schematic

The RF section will use a  4-125's in a single band arrangement, with a pi network with a 250 pf cap for plate tuning, a B & W coil of 16.5 micro henrys, and a 800 pf loading capacitor. At the power level I will be using the design calls for 106 pf tuning, 16.5 uH on the inductor and 570 pf on the loading.
The design came from the  14th edition of the "other" Handbook, published by W6SAI and Editors and Engineers back in 1956.

This years version of a modulator

I decided to do this low power job (125 watts of audio out) using the famous ART-13 mod transformer along with about 30 Hy of modulation choke and a healthy capacitor.
I am going to save the 250 wattt Chicago Standard iron for the 500 watt rig I will build someday. Thanks to Ebay I was able to score the driver transformer, two tubes and other odds and ends to go with my ham fest finds to build this thing.
